The Royal Mint has revealed the new designs for Britains Coinage.

They look like they have been miss-stamped. Bits cut off.

I think I have more pressing issues to moan and worry about rather than whether the new coins are aesthetically pleasing or rob us of our precious sovereignty. As long as they don't have my face on them I just don't care!

Not sure but more importantly are they going to work in existing vending machines?

PS I think the designs should have been "revealed" yesterday featuring Tony Blair and Gondon Brown's heads on them.

That'd have topped the flying penguins!

I'm largely unmoved. Probably because they're coins and I don't really care very much what they look like. They're okay. Who cares?

they're supposed to work as a jigsaw, apparently. Most odd.

The six designs on the 1p through to the 50p coins can be pieced together to form a complete image of the royal shield of arms. The �1 coin features the complete shield

PS... Lonnie, just the opposite, I would have thought... Nothing European about them, only Her Maj's arms. We are now reminded on both sides of the coins just who's boss...
