If a dog goes missing there is a site called Dog Lost http://www.doglost.co.uk where you can report it either by phone or by email, and within minutes a photo and details with contact numbers are put on their site and emailed to anyone registered with them within the area the dog has gone missing. Owners are given advice on who to contact, how to search for their pet and messages of support in their search. Is there not something like this for missing children?

I do hope not.

Tell total strangers the name of a missing child with a child - a heaven sent opportunity for every paedophile and crank in the area.
