Fed up with the weather?
13 Answers
Should have posted this on Weather, but thought it might get more attention on here.
Are most of us fed up to the back teeth with this present awful weather? Freezing temperatures, snow, sleet. rain and high winds.
I put the blaim on playing about with climate control. I say bring on climate change, global warming and the green house effect. (at least over these isles).
I suggest we all go out and buy ourselves a gas guzzler, as many patio heaters we can afford, and throw away those stupid energy saving light bulbs, etc, etc,etc
And while we are going down this track I much prefer to see the ruddy robust smiling faces of the true right winger, than the pale sullen faces of the liberal leffties who seem to hold the rest of the worlds troubles on their shoulders. Life is for living lets all get on with it, we only come this way once.

Alas global warming is something of a false advertisment to the best of my knowledge (gained from Jake answering a question of mine I think) as it messes around with our seasons but does not guarantee long hot summers. I mean if we're going to mess the planet up entirely it might be nice to get some bl00dy fringe benefits.

There's a guy in New Zealand who's often on radio here in Ireland, and he offers a weather forecast service based on historical weather and the moon phases at that time - reckons if it affects the tides, then also the air? Anyway, he's been on for a few years now and is uncannily right every time, down to the exact day.
He's predicted a colder wetter summer this year, with some bright periods.
He has a website - wish i could remember his name!

Is this him by any chance Whickerman? here
(too much time on my hands thanks to the weather)
yes aog I'm thoroughly fed up with it...I try not to let it get me down - weather happens & there's nothing we can do about it - but I've had enough of being cold, wet & buffeted about now. I thought twice about buying a thick padded coat, hood, fur etc in the late autumn but so glad I did... I started wearing it at xmas & I haven't had it off since.
the old jokes are the best :o)

I've been avoiding the impulse to respond to this part of the OP for a while, but seeing as AOG is actually the one who brings it up:

Can I be the first to point out that you spend quite a high proportion of your time on this site moaning?
Also, it's usually right wingers who insist that society is collapsing who are miserable company rather than Liberals. In either case, you're being rather silly and not a little melodramatic here.
