Peculiar indeed.
If it has a diameter of 150m, then its circumference (given by pi x d) is about 471m.
And it rotates once every 30 mins? Then that is ( a linear velocity) of approx 942m per hour or less than a km per hour.
Irrespective of its diameter, its angular velocity is about 0.00349 rad s^-1 (radians per second).
In keeping with the spirit of the Singapore Flyer website, I calculate that to be equivalent to;
about 23.7 football pitches per double-decker bus squared
or;
around 146 times the height of the Eiffel Tower per litre for each country-the-size-of-Wales .
I am happy to have helped illustrate these statistics for you.

Hi China, me ol'Doll !
Yes, still shuffling around the old mortal coil. The two 'pod larvae keeping me busy, hence not being on here very much these days.
Hope all's well with you.
Had a quick lurk on here yesterday, and glad to see the old fave subjects are still going strong over on News, ie. 'Muslins' [sic], 'Maddie' and 'PC-Gone-Mad'
I see Chatterbank is back, though.
Anyway, in fairness to johnsam's question - perhaps that's where we should be !!
