Yes, they do feature in a new course on how religion and philosophy feature in popular culture - including The Simpsons. Entitled 'Animated Philosophy and Reigion' it's proving popular.
Reading texts include The Simpsons and Philosophy: The D'oh! of Homer by William Irwin, and The Gospel According to The Simpsons: The Spiritual Life of the Most Animated Family by Mark I. Pinsky.
But you'll have to travel to Siena Heights University in the US to take it.
