Killed at Passiondale 30th October 1917
Can anyone help with any further research about Albert Knight.
1. He arrived in France April 1917.
2. Started with the 221st Battalion Canadian Exp. Force.
3. Immediately absorbed into the 11th Reserve Battalion.
4. Killed in action 30th October 1917 with 78th Battalion.
Would be grateful to know what happened between his arrival in France and his death.

I contacted the Canadian site to discover about my grandfather who served with the Irish Rangers (he worked on the transatalntic liners and was in Canada when the war started). I found his attestation papers and contacted the military part of the site - they were very helpful. I realised that none of my grandfather's medals had reached him so I enquired about whether I could still have them. For a fee of $10 I got both medals for my mother who was thrilled as she was close to her father and he died as a result of poor health from injuried received on the Somme
