Because they would surrender so quickly and then we'd have another country to run and pay tax for.

On the other hand if they give up we could insist on swapping countries, and then seal up the chunnel.

because we seem to be involved in a few wars already and losing them all. By my calculations we have 23 soldiers left at the moment not already serving abroad, and though they might be able to recapture Calais I doubt they'd actually get much further than the Cite Europe mall and would spend all their pay on cheap wine.

I'm already fighthing them politically. I think its about time the French paid compensation for what they did to my family in 1066. I will be lobbying their government for an official apology and re-structuring program of England.

There should be international centres of learning built to teach the youngsters in this country of the atrocities commited by the French. Maybe every so often they could release a film (preferably in black and white) depicting the English as a poor beleagured race. Maybe putting about 6 documentaries a day on the Discovery channel will help as well.

I'm hoping that my propaganda machine will allow us special dispension from the UN to carry on being evil to the rest of world and allow us to have an uncontested nuclear arms program.

I don't quite get this 'running away' business. In WW2 they fought and lost; they weren't the ones running away at Dunkirk. As for their reluctance to go to Iraq - I only wish we'd done the same.

You talk about the French surrendering - what did britain do when invaded ? cow towed to the Romans - paid the Danes off and surrendered to the Normans- and lately surrendering to the mighty influx of immigrants!

Let's invade Switzerland. No-one expects the Swiss to get invaded. Including the Swiss. Belgium would be a good alternative as they hate each other so much we likely won't get any resistance. And it's nearer. And smaller.
