I watched the end for the voting carve up - Terry Wogan sounded disgusted - and his comments wern't as jovial as usual, He suggested that the Western Europe countries should pull out of future contests. Was this his last show and will the BBC now stop ploughing vast amounts of money into this garbage ?

lol, no, it won't be his Eurovision. EVERY year he sounds naffed off by the end, yet there he is the following year, as cheeky as ever ;-)

But i do fail to see why we continue to pay towards this farce anymore. We don't even get 'sympathy' votes do we?
The Eurovision has always been a joke, really now. There is no better all round music than from our own country. English music and artistes are famous in all the EU countries but do we know any Russian or Estonian groups? No! It's a farce. The only sad thing, is that in the past they voted for us because they respected our country but now they think of England obviously not in favourable terms...but then again they still want to come and live here!!!!

United Kingdom NOT England, no wonder they won't vote for us.
one problem is that a swede can trot over the border into norway and vote for their countries song etc. and all the baltic states vote for each other to keep the peace etc. yes its time the big four pulled out all their support and leave the eastern european countries to it, its not fun any more.
