Boris Johnson has decided to kill the agreement that resulted in Londoners on income support getting cheap fares!
Was this in his manifesto?
Did Londoners know they were voting for this?

He has been mayor for only a short space of time but so far his decisions have all been political and not about the welfare of Londoners. Fcuk the poor and those on income support. Don't accept free oil because he dosn't agree with President Chavez's left wing politics.
Here you have a person who would be a clone of Cameron so think carefully about changing your party vote.

I read some of the comments on the page. They couldn't have sucked any harder if they tried.
I can't think how many stabbings and muggings and gang related horrors are going on in the Captital and what does he do, decides the transport system is far more important and then bogs off on holiday.
But I don't expect anything else from Boris'the bore'Johnson.
The only people where I live who get cheaper fairs are the old and disabled. Not that the service here is worth a toss to be honest.

Up to a million people on income support were eligible for half fares on London's buses under Ken Livingstone's oil deal with Hugo Chvez, Venezuela's president.
Single parents, carers, the long-term sick and disabled people benefited from the scheme.
In addition, the deal also made it possible for a reduction of all fares by 10% which was introduced last September.
As the Congestion Charge is also subsidising public transport, and Boris is committed to scrapping that, huge fare rises or massive reductions in service can be expected.

I'm not a liberal lefty or anything else simply because there is nothing else.
Liberal, pointless Lefty, spiteful selfish Tory, lame brain LibDem, its all the same.
Boris is what it says on the can. Tory plonker.
Do you think Young that the current clmate of fear in the City is not as important as the bus situation?
If you do then you fit well under the Tory banner.
Politicians are all the same. Jump on the band wagon and hold on tight.

May I correct myself.
For years Boris has been denouncing the Congestion Charge and for seven years it has been official Conservative Party policy to oppose congestion charging in London.
it now appears that another u-turn has occurred without my noticing, because Boris was actually elected on a policy of keeping the Congestion Charge.
Though detail is thin, the Daily Mail commented:
Boris' focus on overall traffic could mean that a new tariff of flexible charges could cover a much wider swathe of the capital's streets rather than just a small zone in the centre.
So he is thinking of extending it so more people will pay.
