Aaaaaaaaaaaaargh" Give us a break. It's only 1 September.
Ummm I never pass a shop these days that there isnt a sale on! If you want to get started on the xmas shopping Woolies has already got offers on the xmas favourites like Barbie! I am a sad one because i start shopping now, spreads the cost and means the credit card doesnt get a hammering!
Where you bin hidin? This is Great Britain......the land of never-ending sales. What d`you think of IKEA starting to charge 70p for using a credit card? What say we adopt the Continental idea of bartering and walking away if we can`t agree a price?
tescos on xmas eve sell everything off dirt cheap as in a bunch of bananas for 1p
I think 'January Sales' is really just an expression these days, rather than a predictable event. Retil shopping habits have altered considerably over the last ten years or so, and lower profits have forced most high street stores to start their reductions before Christmas to try and claw back some business. Elsewhere, 'sales' are permanent, chains like MFI simply replace one 'sale' with another, until the term becomes meaningless.
