How can Cameron guarantee victory at the General Election?

It's very simple. He only has to promise, I mean PROMISE, to do one thing and he will get a guaranteed swing of approx 25%. All he has to do is to GUARANTEE that his government will abolish the smoking ban in pubs, clubs and leisure facilities. Not in factories or offices or other places of work. The ban has hit these establishments quite hard, particularly clubs, so it will be beneficial for employment in these places. And as I've said before on here, passive smoking does not cause any illnesses. There is no proof. Only guesswork and speculation.

However I believe the greatest vote winners will be the introduction (like Rudolph Gilianni (sp??)of short sharp shock treatment of petty criminals and shutting our borders to bloody foreigners on both asylum and immigration.

I don't smoke but I would rather take the risk and share a room with smokers than drunks.
Drinking has cost this country more in police action, NHS treatment, broken families, battered wives and children, council bills to pay for the morning after clean up, unwanted pregnancies from quick, booze filled knee tremblers than smoking ever did or could.

I agree Tiger. But for the sociable couple it can be difficult. My wife and I used to meet friends on the weekend lunchtimes down our local and the smoking was horrendous. My wife suffers from Asthma and in the end she had to stop joining us as the next day her breathing was abysmal. I have to add though it was not a pub that was a haven for drunks and poor behaviour.

I understand Ed. It must be difficult for those it affects. But I would still take my chances with the smokers.
My daughter smokes and drinks. When she smokes she great. When she drinks shes bad. She doesn't seem like the same person.
I think there should have been some sort of compromise with the smoking ban.
