The things to nick.
And it wasn't even criminals that did it.
I can't see how the council is going to justify this one.

You don't say who the council is being run by? It doesn't sound like a Labour plot to me.

Right The title should read 'of all' and if this post ends up on some where else I'm gonna scream.

There for I'm not sure but I wouldn't put anything past a Labour council these days.
I think the Lib Dems hold Bristol council
Thanks for shedding light on who runs the council Jno.

That was a most illuminating link tigerlily11. No glowing report for Bristol Council for this glaring error then.

TY Jno. I am never sure where to look as to who runs what council.
I thought it was a bit much. Surely it would have just been cheaper to make copies and put them in the upper crust area but I suppose that just wouldn't have been good enough for the upper class residents.
I was wrong - the Lib Dems are the largest party but it seems (according to them) that there's a Labour-Conservative alliance actually running it.

Question Author
Weird.
If the Libs are the largest party surely that makes them the guys in charge or doesn't it work like that for some strange reason that is only known to those in the buisness.
I don't know the exact figures, tigerlily but if there are, say, 26 seats, then the Lib Dems could have 10 and Labour and Tories 8 each; if Labour and Tories agree to work together in a coalition then they have 16 and can outvote the Lib Dems. No doubt they would all be prepared to work with their mortal enemies in order to retain a share of power.
Question Author
I see ty Jno.
It's a duff old situation. It still doesn''t get those people their lamposts back.
I bet at least one of those councillors lives in the area that now has them.
