robert mcartney murder
After all this time still they cant jail his killer.Dozens of witnesses and only 3 gave evidence and that was anonymously.
Why worry about terrorism when these ira terrorists are helping coverup this mans murder?
his sisters have stayed strong thru this even after threats and intimidation.
so.
why cant they do anything about this in belfast/?
what does it really say about northern ireland at this moment in time if anything?

"Only the bombing has stopped"?
And the political murders and the army has gone home and the watchtowers have been disassembled.
It's called peace
And peace doesn't mean the end of crime.
Robert McCartney was alledgedly killed by 4 people 2 of whom happened to be members of the IRA not by the IRA - which is a huge difference.
The army, internment, rubber bullets achieved absolutely nothing in bringing peace to Northern Ireland it was the politicians that Stoke tells you not to trust that did that

Jake, you're correct, but so is stoke.
The fact is there were 70 plus people in that pub when it happened, many of whom were outside to see the fatal blows. Yet when the police arrived, almost every one claimed to be in the toilet at the time. Further, there was a forensic clean up of the area to ensure no evidence.
This brutal killing, and the one this week where a young man was shot dead for intervening in a row, are examples of the whole 'we haven't gone away you know' culture in NI.
Also - it's not just the IRA - the loyalists have yet to decommision a single gun.
