2 day trial for section 20

i wrote a questions for you guys on 20/05 explaining the situation, thanks for the advice... the case has now gone to a 2 day trial in sept and my friend is still on remand... charged with section 20. we have had the othersides papers and all they have is 3 statements and a half page medical from her doctor saying she has 3 tender areas on her body.... the judge told the procecution to go and get more evidence or A&e reports, as my friends ex girlfriend has said he beat her up for 15 mins using a metal bar causing 12 open wound injuries, as such no medical is avaliable as apparently she did not go to her gp or a&e with the injuries, which i might add sound horific on paper..... taxi driver who picked her up says she was fine a little drunck but ok.... all this and bearing in mind she did not report the alleged beating till 3 months after it was supposed to have happened.... will this case be thrown out ? or the jury be taking her side as she is a woman claiming she was beat up .... ????

They may accept a plea to a lesser asault, or yes, they may bin it altogether.
