11 Answers
My internet-less cousin in a remote area rang in a panic after reading the MoS report on having to carry a Hi-Viz jacket - operative in FRance from 1st. July.
Naturally the frogs took great delight in fining all the brits leaving the ferry. I was able to help her with this eBay listing - hope it can help you too.

My cousin had enough to think about planning her trip on Wednesday, being a full-time teacher waiting to break-up for the summer. She was more than pleased that I arranged for hers to be delivered on Tuesday. Being in a remote area, suggesting she go to a `local` poundshop would not have helped her one little bit.
this has been a recommendation when driving in france for many years, it's just that it's now become law. anyone leaving a ferry in france deserves to have been fined if they haven't read up on french driving laws. it's a safety aspect and should be made compulsory here too, anything which helps save lives needs applauding not condemning.
we have a lot to say about foreign drivers not following our rules and regulations, why should we expect the french to be different? when in rome (or in this case, france)......

Why are you advertising that particular eBay listing?
There are lots of eBay sellers selling it - cheaper

Or are you using this as cheap advertising?

But although the law came into force on 1 July they are not fining anyone until 1 October.............................

And I'm sure your internetless cousin in a remote area must have passed some form of shop on her way to the ferry terminal

My, what a cynical lot you are! I often see requests on here for various supply and as this cropped up on a Sunday afternoon thought that others in the same position may like a little help.
Of course, if they go to the site I used, they will also see similar items priced (apparently) cheaper. But I only search for items with free postage so didn`t see them all. Having looked now I see a few others with stupid postage prices including one for sale at 5pence PLUS 7. postage. I would not deal with such people.
