Last night txt my mate saying 'Isnt it weird how Mikey from Big Brother still has his accent even though he's blind' She put back. 'Not sure because he can hear cant he' to which I replied 'but babies get there accents by watching the mothers mouth so you'd have thought he'd have lost his by now' she replied with 'I did not know that, well he has not been completely blind for long so maybe in years to come he might lose it' By this point I was in stitches and ended it off saying 'yer have looked it up on google and he should lose his accent in 5 years' :-)

Then when I was about 18 standing in a group in a pub someone mentioned the CID - I of course said "oh that's short for Constables in Disguise isn't it". Well I felt such a fool when they all stared open mouthed before explaining that my dad had lied!!!!! How could he have done that to me????
i heard a story of a bloke who went on day trip to france.
He came back and was telling everyone that his car had been checked by customs and how clever the sniffer dogs were.
his friend said that they were trained from puppies to be able to sniff out drugs but yes it was clever.
"not that!" he said "they can understand french, THAT is clever"

Years ago my mate almost convinced me he had a new fangled record player (this was before cds first came out) He had one of those old box type record players (oldies will know what I mean, they were usually red lol) he had a LP going round on it but the needle was in the up position. The sound to the LP was coming out of the speakers! He explained in great detail how a laser in the arm picked up the tracks from the LP and because I could hear the record playing I almost believed him. Turned out he had an old tape recorder stashed behind the speaker with a tape of the LP playing on it.
