New DVB Service on Freeview
3 Answers
This screen keeps coming up about a New DVB Service on my Freeview. When my daughter pressed 'yes' or whatever to agree to it, at her flat on her TV, it messed up her Freeview so she warned me about it, and I just press 'Return' instead of agreeing to it. . What does it mean, and should I agree to it ?? Thanks all. I'm NOT technical by the way !! My daughter's Freeview box was separate to her TV, where mine is incorporated inside my TV. I also have a separate DVD Recorder with Freeview incorporated in that as well (see my question below ...) Thanks all.

I said "Yes" and it went through the usual set up procedure. I had no problem when it had finished.
I don't know what this new service is yet. I have not looked at what is now available. I expect it is something I don't want to view. That's usual.

It may be that a new shopping channel or minority radio station has been added.
If you have all the channels you want, just keep rejecting it.
Occasionally it is worth agreeing to the update in case it gives you a worthwhile extra. However when I did it to my Mum's TV last week it lost Channel 5 until I updated it again next day.
