Eurovision...
I heard on the radio a few days back that eurovision are thinking of returning to Jurys to judge the contest since the current political voting has got really out of hand.
Did anyone else hear this or did I dream it? I can't find anything about it online..

Just split it into Eurovision East and Eurovision West and just show the approriate contest in each country. Let the Balkan/Baltic/former Soviet countries lick each others backsides without bothering the rest of us, while we get back to what Eurovision always used to be about - ignoring the French.
Far too many countries involved in the voting anyway. It seems to last about a week.

My feeling is that the only way to make it fair is to have each country GIVEN a song to perform without knowing what country the writers were from. Then you perform the song as best as you can, make it sound nice, interpret it and do good presentation etc. THEN each country votes purely on the song, without knowing which country wrote it. Then the results are a surprise and the song is the only thing being judged!
