You've missed the point. However bad it may be for a teacher to have strong BNP views, the fact was he was posting this during work time. Teachers have a responsibility at work and do not have spare time to write their own posts on forums.

I have never heard of "Solidarity", to be honest I thought the BNP were strongly against unions, nowt wrong there I guess.

But if the affiliations are strong perhaps the real problem lies with him not declaring he is a member. Yes, it is a ducking witch scenario because if he had admitted it he would be sacked anyway, but they are the rules.

I do not even work in state education yet have to declare all my memberships etc to the committee and the Head Master And the last time I looked we don't have any pesky muslims at my school.

I don't think that you can ban the BNP as a political party, but as a society, I think it's important to keep them as far away from kids as possible.

I do hope he is being struck off for being a member of the BNP.

It would be nice to think that the educational authorities were strong and confident enought to say having teachers expressing support for openly racist organisations is unacceptable.

Frankly I think there's a more than passing case to have them banned as a proscribed organisation.

Alas it seems free speech still involves the right to spew hatred ( on many racial fronts ).

I have no problem with anyone who holds extreme political or religious views teaching in state schools - just as long as they keep those views out of the classroom, and just as long as they're not indulging in expressing them when they're supposed to be teaching the kids.

I hope he never teaches again.

A homosexual is attracted to members of their own sex. A homosexual who is attracted to minors of his or her own sex is a paedophile.

You can't be both things at the same time.

Another example is (say) a bisexual woman. If she dates a fella, then a woman, then another fella...she's not straight, then a lesbian, then straight again. Her core being is bisexual.

(Actually, I don't believe in bisexuality...I think it's just people being greedy and having no manners).
