There done it for you and stolen your plunder hahaha.
And No I dont believe that.
Contrary to popular belief (as he doesn' suit lefty propganda) the septics want and need to keep stability in the middle east. Although Iran has threatened Israel its probably failry empty threat at the moment. But the other way round is very real. The Septics dont want anyone loosing off nukes anywhere, they would undoubtedly end up picking up the very expensive pieces one way or another.
And if it is the oil then all I can say is the sooner we fond alternative fuel and put the rag heads back in their tents the better

I heard it on the BBC too.
It's pretty believable. After all the CIA report came out last year I think it was saying that in their opinion Iran was not in an imminant position too make a nuclear bomb.
Balance that with the escalation in violence in Iraq and Afghanistan that would doubtlessly accompany such an act and it's not difficult to do the maths.
What's interesting is to wonder if this shows a significant further loss in power of the Neo-conservatives in Washington who are very hawkish or maybe it's an unusual outbreak of common sense on all sides

I think it is nothing more than the fact that USA knows that we better keep to the Hollywood movies to be heroes to save the world from all sorts of possible threats one can think of. In real life, well they are just not good enough in few countries. You can only go to limits playing as puppet in the hands of the people who control you economy. On the other hand downfall of USA has already started.
Bush is soon to leave office. He doesn't want another outbreak of Middle East warfare on his record, having started two unfinishable wars himself already. If the US really wanted and needed stability in the region they would never have gone into Iraq: Saddam wasn't nice but he kept the country stable. Now it isn't.
