Child poverty in britain?

On the news theyre saying 4 million children in the uk are living in poverty.
How can this be true?
Disadvantaged children living in low income or poor homes.
But are they using the money thay have properly?

Are these poor families the same ones with pcs , x box and playstation consoles and a glut of gold jewwellery?
Are the parents to blame for not using the money correctly?


Or are there really all these poor folk with nothing in the uk after all ?

with the money they get off the social it should be enough for them to live on no child should live in poverty really,they dont have to pay rent,council tax,therefore what they get should be spent on the kids and not getting pi**ed in the pub or buying drugs......................just my humble opinion of course............

i know a family that the poor kids live in a dirty s h .t hole ..the kids are dirty and not cared for ..while the parents smoke about 100 pound a week and live of take aways ..sure they get about 400 a week in benefits,,makes me sick ....

Welll you only get social here if youve paid in.and when what u paid in ahs gone then so has your social.

Im sure there may be some unfortuntaes but 4 million?

I tend to agree with the majority here thes epoor kids are neglected by parents and if you give them more cash.well theyll buy more booze and jewellery.but the kids will get nothing extra.and the others are just spongers

The africans who land here.if they have noid , after 40 days are released and given papers to make them legal.then they have o fend for themselves.theymay sell sunglasses or dvds or braid hair.butb thats their income.ive nothing against thm they ork long tedious hours with little pay.and still send money home to senagal to their families
