eco light bulbs

After all these free energy saving light bulbs from B/Gas & Sainsburys/Morrisons, i heard there are some that will work with dimmer switches (as all the above don't) can somebody tell me what & where to get them maybe, or are they useless as well as overpriced or am i going to have to use all my existing stock of normal bulbs first, --- about 1 a year ---------t i a

Because of the way they work (basically a coiled flourescent tube) low energy bulbs are difficult to dim succesfully. You have to buy those specifically designed to do so and they ARE much more expensive right now (�8-�15 each!) as there are very few on the market.

they start there at �7.25 +VAT!!
The price will come down eventually but for now only replace them when you have to, as and when your normal ones go.
