Why was my question removed?
28 Answers
I was disapointed to discover that a recent question of mine dated 5/10/08 and titled "Muslims angered yet again, has been removed from Answer Bank.
This could not be because of any racist or offensive remarks that I had made, so I can only assume it was removed because THECORBYLOON reported fagidill and Lucy Thomas for their answers.
I do not know what they said because the question had been removed before I could read it. But I find it most unfair of AB to remove a person's question because some posters have presumably contaminated a question with their answers.

There's free speech everywhere. However, the problem that racists have now is that the vast majority of people (especially those under say, 40) don't want to hear the filth that spews forth from their mouths.
I really don't know what bigots have to complain about. They've been able to shout 'darkie', 'n*gger', 'p*ki' etc for decades. Surely they've had their fill???

sp1814....surely names r just 'sticks & stones' hardly offensive and no worse than being sworn at......all words that can be re-iterated back in similarly offensive format. They cause no more offence than saying fatty/bully/skinny etc. Time the ethnics got used to 'playground wind-ups'.
Offensive to me is taking little girls for wives, keeping women submissive by denying them independence when they live/school in a western culture. Forcing young boys to study religion and thereby controlling the community. Threatening lives of breakaways from a faith.

It would be better if the Editor could remove individual answers rather than whole questions.
As Postdog points out, the current system means that you can effectively plant offensive answers to deliberately get the whole thread removed.
The freedom of speech argument is a bit daft though. There's a line of acceptability. Some of the people on this thread complaining about it would probably kick up a stink if I made remarks about r@ping disabled children or violently abusing their elderly mother. And frankly chucking racially abusive terms round the place shouldn't be tolerated either.
