ectopic pregnancy
1 Answers
i am a little scared and i have a few questions. (HISTORY:when i was 17 i had my right tube and ovary removed) this April (2008) i had an ectopic pregnancy in my left to which was removed by surgery, they were able to save my tube. about two months later i had a hysterosalpingogram and they told me my tube was blocked. they had also put me on the patch for birth control. well this month (October 2008)i missed my patch so i was going to start when i got my period. i am supposed to start my period on the 2 of November, but last night i started having some pain on my left side that started gradually getting worse it lasted from 5:00pm to about 3:00am in the morning. it was a little better by morning, just a little achy. I'm wondering if this is a sign of another ectopic, and if it is why did the pain go away? I'm a week before my period if i am pregnant would i be having signs already. I'm really scared can anyone give me some advice of what i should expect from a 2nd ectopic. i also was wondering if the pregnancy turns out to be normal, can that be explained by the egg passing through, irritating the partially blocked tube causing some internal bleeding which was making me feel pain nut now i am felling better, is that a good sign? because if it was a pregnancy wouldn't the pain still be there? i don't know.......the more advise i can get the better thx.

I dont know anything about ectopic pregnancies I'm afraid, but the optimist in me first thought was that it could 've been an egg passing through the tube. I had Clomid to get pregnant and when I ovulated the pain in my lower sides (where my tubes/ovaries are) was awful.
I'd ring your Doc and try to get a scan or something to be on the safe side because you dont want it to get worse if it has happened again.
Hope all turns out ok for you.
