In 2007/8 there were 28 members of the Department of Health Board. Spending on salaries of its top officials increased by between 29% and 38% to more than 3.5 million.

NHS Chief Executive David Nicholson was awarded a pay riseof between 8% and 13% taking his salary for 2007/8 to 220,000 (dwarfing Gordon Browns salary of 189,994).With other benefits thought to include a london flat and living expense perks Nicholsons pay rise was increased to between 26% and 32% taking his package to 258,000.

Nicholson last year told Parliament that pay increases of around 2% were appropriate for most of NHS staff and millions of ordinary Health workers were forced to accept a pay rise of under UNDER 2% !

How can the Government allow this type of fatcat feeding frenzy by NHS Bosses at our ( taxpayers) expense especially when frontline NHS staff have had to undergo
pay restraint ? What can effectively best be done to stop this type of greedy waste and injustice in the future ?

How can the fatcat, corrupt politicians raise their snouts out of the trough and complain about their counterparts in th NHS. I am afraid this pocket lining and nest feathering is unstoppable because they are all in up to their greedy necks and the only people that could possibly stop all of this is the police, who are just as bad as the rest.
