Hijacked tanker.....
Ok looks like the badies have got all the aces. Is paying the ransom the only acceptable way out of this? Ie presumably dead hostages/ environmental disaster really must be avoided. How can we riegn these pirates in going forward? It seems they are getting ever more ambitious.

To prevent anything like this happening again, isn't it time for the ships in this area to travel in convoy, escorted by the Navy's of NATO perhaps? Or an aircraft carrier could be stationed in these waters, ready to answer any 'Mayday' calls. How long would it take for a jet fighter/bomber to reach and depatch the pirate ship?
