Where can I get cosmetic surgery done for free?

A friend of mine who is not on AB (very foolish I know) has asked me to post this question for him. A few years ago there was a company in America who very kindly offered us Brits free cosmetic surgery if we would allow them to broadcast our operation on the Internet. At this time we did not have the Net, as it was in its' infancy, but we do now. (See link at bottom of post)

Upon further examination we find the site to be no longer operational, and do not know what to do. He cannot really afford cosmetic surgery, and the NHS will no do this, as it is not urgent, or medically necessary. Do any ABers remember this site, or know where to get free cosmetic surgery for men and women? I understand that all surgery is cheaper abroad, and you could go on a "medical holiday", and come back looking different, and have had a free break into the bargain. Would appreciate some help on this one, as have heard very bad reports from some spheres on this last point.

I know this is not really an answer to your question (which i doubt actually exists) but if your "friend" wants non-necessary non-urgent surgery in my opinion they shold pay for it (dont even get me started on being happy with what you've got) There are always risks with surgery and coming from someone who has had to have a lot of surgical procedures, i can't understand why anyone would wilingly put themlves through it, if they are well.

there has been a lot of stuff in the news lately about peple having botched cosmetic surgery abroad, and the NHS refusing to pick up the pieces (sometimes quite literally) because they have effectively gone private for it.
I suppose i would just urge your friend to be happy with what they have, and count their blessings tey dont actually HAVE to hve surgery to stay alive!
if you get really stuck, I'll do it. my mate can film it on his mobile and we can stick it on youtube :o)
Living TV, who do the UK version of Extreme Makeover are currently looking for new participants to audition, to be featured in the new series. Perhaps you can apply to them.

What's wrong with your friend, that he feels he needs to have cosmetic surgery?
Hear, hear; bednobs.
Couldn't agree more. Modern obsession with looks again!
according to the horror film ''the hostel'' theres quite a few places that will preform ''unecessary surgery for free................just make sure you get a one way ticket!
That sounds like a very bad deal to me and would avoid it like the plague.
If the NHS will not do it for him, he has two alternatives 1) not to have it done at all 2) Pay for it privately in a well recognized unit in the UK or abroad.
