Just wanted to wish all the quizzlers and puzzlers a very happy New Year. Contrary to popular opinion, us Scots do not all celebrate the turn of the year by carrying coal and a bottle of whisky to each other's houses. And we don't go around saying 'See you Jimmy' and other such phrases. We will be having a very sophisticated Hogmanay with some champagne and oysters (OK - followed by some deep-fried Mars bars!!).
Look forward to more assistance in 2009 from the likes of Lie-in King, sarumite, kayakamina, mamyalynne and everyone else who answers questions on this site.
A n a very HAPPY NEW YEAR to you too. - The last time I was in Aberdeen for the New Year.......... I seem to remember rather a lot of tall dark scotsmen running around from house to house with coal and whiskey bottles. :-))))
All the very best to you too AberdeenAl....but I would be careful with that Sarumite!!!....I know things about him!:-))
Kayakamina on the other hand is a true gent!!
