Is the BBC anti-Israel, or am I imagining bias in their reporting?

I would say the Beeb is about as unbiased a news source as one is likely to find upon this earth.
well spotted flip, yes the BBC hate israel, love islam, it's a strange lefty thing, I've never been able to grasp. I mean normally if you say you want to kill Gay's, make women walk 5 paces behind and ban dope, you'd be the worst kind of extremist. But curiosly all the above are perfectly acceptable when it's done in Islam.
No I don't think they are, they are reporting it as it is, a complete over reaction from Israel.

But what I would like to see is the damage done to Israel by these rocket attacks from Gaza. We have not seen this we hear of those killed, but even these although equally tragic, are nowhere near the hundreds of Palestinians killed by Isreal.
You are not imagining it far from it.
Fairly recently they won an injunction to stop the publication of a report/inquiry into their pro-palastine unabashedly biased reporting.
the report basically said guilty as charged, hardly a surprise

The BBC are a disgrace , they are so obviously left wing its beyond belief.

irrelevant AOG, why poke the Tiger? Kin idiots they invite a good smacking.
They all come from the same genetic and religious source.
They are all idiots.
The truth sometimes hurts!
aog, you say Israels overreacting, fair enough, thats your opinion, but what would you call a fair response?.
There's a pig flying around a blue moon outside - mark it in your calendars folks, a day's arrived where I actually agree with AOG!

Lonnie - The rocket attacks from Gaza, although ridiculous and simply wrong, are a response to being forced to live under siege. Gaza's been blockaded for months, no employment, economy or social security, UN food aid cut off at the drop of a hat, intermittent electricity (needed to power hospitals, schools and water pumps) and closed borders. And the only reason that they've had it that 'good' is due to the intercession of Egypt, who in turn had to close their border with Gaza to stop the Israelis intervening. And all this as a backdrop to a people who once ruled that land but were forced out...
Also - 123 Everton is right. I see the BBC from the perspective of a non-UK citizen and I've travelled the world, the BBC is a treasure that you need to cherish. If you think you could live without it, turn on Fox news or Press TV for a half hour.
If 1% of the Oil Revenues that go to making some Sheiks fantastically rich were spent on Palestine then that Country would Bloom. The reason that this does not happen? The Muslim heirachy wants Palestine poor and for the conflict to continue.

aog, you say Israels overreacting, fair enough, thats your opinion, but what would you call a fair response?.

Well a fair response, would not be shells from the sea, rockets from helicopters, bomb from jets, shells & gun fire from a large number of tanks and 320 human beings killed.

All in response to just 140 rockets from Gaza.

Just 140 rockets?, Okay, we'll go along with that, now just supposing it was you on the end of them, and don't forget, Israel wasn't, and never has been, the first to start hostilities, and you haven't said what you think Israels reaction should be.
you haven't said what you think Israels reaction should be.

Well just lob a few rockets back, but not an almighty blitz, as at present.
That wouldn't work, would it, Hamas won't stop, so how long do you think tit for tat would go on for?.
The western leaders are all completely pro Israel and let them get away with anything, so it may seem that the BBC is biased as it actually reports the situation as it really is. (almost you should not believe anything you see on telly) And the palestinians are being chat on by Israel all the time. The BBC World Service has not had a news article over the past 20 years or so which did not mention the conflict.

Yes you are imagining it and this is possibly due to your own biase.
