The security in this country does not fail to suprise me, over and over again.
What this story does not tell us is how did he also manage to get back into the UK with only his sister's passport?

The Daily Mail is perceived by many on here to be the harbinger of doom when in reality it is the only daily British newspaper telling the truth about modern Britain.
That said, It's a shame he was sent back to Britain.

'A terrorist or fugitive could have done something like this and got out of the UK - how many people have slipped through the net like this?
To be honest, who would be sorry to be rid of a terrorist or fugitive. Good riddance, I say.
A few years ago my 13 year old daughter was searched going through passport control on our way to Greece. the party of four young Asian (probably muslim) men in front of us were waved straight through. Explain the logic of that to me.
It is a fact that whilst not all muslims are terrorists, all terrorists (currently) are muslims. So I think that the UK airports passport control staff should forget human rights and trying to be 'politically correct' and concentrate on their job of protecting the UK from terrorists.

Amber - What if the terrorists fit your demographic down to a tee? Would you be happy being stopped in your car on the way to work by the police 'just checking' when you're busy? Would you be pleased at having to wait forever in the aiport while people go through ahead of you? How would you cope with the embarrassment of being stopped in the street with your friends or loved ones just because of your appearence? How long before you start to feel like a second class citizen in your own country? I'd be exceptionally p1ssed off I can tell you.
If a crime is commited and the description of the criminal is that of a 6 foot, Black man, it makes sense that you would not stop and question a 6 foot white man, 5 foot Chinese man or a 4 foot Asian woman.
It may be inconveniencing every 6 foot Black man, but in the circumstances they could not say it was an infringement of their human rights.

That would be true if you were hunting for a specific crime AOG. There isn't a soul in the land who thinks that if I'm robbed by a Bolivian man with a handlebar moustache, that the cops should interview old Mrs Goggins next door just to show some sort of mental sense of fairness.
What we're talking about is profiling people based on ethnicity. The threat of terrorism in this country is profoundly from Islamic fundementalists, but that doesn't mean that we should be stopping every Asian man on the street just beacuse they've got a beard.
Presumably you would be just as happy with every middle aged white male teacher being given much stricter questioning, repeat checks and computer searches from the police to make sure that they're not paedophiles? After all, that is the demographic.....

Perhaps not, but if there is information that there is to be a terrorist attack on a certain tube station, wouldn't it make sense to stop every Asian man with a beard from trying to enter the station?
