What's this film....

Back in the dim and distant on Saturday late they used to show a late night horror type film. Anyway can anyone remember this one. There's this woodcutter chap who gets married in the beginning and on the wedding night his hut get's gate crashed by the local lord of the manor type chap, anyway he is also the woodcutters employer and takes it upon himself to comsumate the marrage by force. When the woodcutter tried to intervene he somehow gets is hand chopped off and later dies somehow. The local aristo is then persued by a ghost of the woodcutter with and arm gone of course! Ring any bells with anyone?
