well the first amendment states that people have the right to religion speech ext. but how come the dollar bill says "in god we trust" when more and more people are becoming atheist?

Perhaps exactly because of the 1st Ammendment. If the US Treasury wants to print 'In God We Trust' on its currency (exercising a religious belief / affiliation / whatever...), then it probably has the constitutional right to do so.
