Brilliant this Guardsman should get a medal for issuing out some respect and discipline back into this country. It is a certainty that our politicians/law will not, they will most likely hand over thousands of pounds of our cash in compansation to this disrespectful individual.

And yes, before those with a chip on their shoulder accuse me of being a racist, I can't help the fact that he also happens to be a foreigner. Who incidently would not dare to mimic one of his own countries soldiers.

Never thought of that Steve, let's hope it doesn't catch on.

If all else fails they may get 250 on 'Youv'e been framed'
I haven't got a chip on my shoulder and I think you're a racist. The fact that you even mention the race of the tourist concerned despite any relevance simply underlines your continuing fetishisation of race.

Anyway, the soldier is not supposed to leave his post unless there is a threat to the Royal Family. There was clearly no threat to the Royal Family caused by some ******** taking the mickey out of his march.

The soldier therefore disobeyed orders and is not suitable for doing the important job to which he has been assigned. His is a disgrace to his unit and I am surprised that someone so passionately in favour of the troops would support someone wilfully disobeying a lawful order.
I dont care who he is!
He is a disrespectful little git and if i had have been one of the bystanders i would of tripped him up!!!!!!!!

Touched a nerve did I Waldo?

It is not my continuing fetishisation of race, it is others such as you. That is the reason I outlined the fact that he was a foreigner, because I knew that if I hadn't someone like you would have nit-picked my post, and accused me once again of picking on foreigners, or being a racist.

Seems you proved me right and the only way to escape this endless name calling, is to not criticise people if they happen to be foreign, that does of course narrow the field somewhat.

Oh! dear here I go again criticising you, and I don't even know your ethnicity.

Incidently a Guardsman has every right to un-slope his weapon and challenge any threat to his person or his fellow Guardsmen, even if it means breaking ranks at times.
Yep, that's the way to earn respect. Give someone a kicking.

I thought we'd evolved beyond that?
I have never answered one of your posts before, and never will again after this, because you are as much of an idiot as the guardsman,
They are supposed to be trained to keep their cool, both in peacetime and more importantly wartime situations.
This preat obviously coould not do either.
He deserves any punishment he gets.

I was in the Army before/during/after WW2,and if we had acted in this way we probably wouldn't have won the war.

Sadly the standard of recruits and Army training has now reached an all time low,and this is the sort of rubbish we end up with.

When a soldier (who is supposed to be disciplined) lashes out a tourist standards have reached a pretty bad level.

PS:~
I have just asked a friend (from Chelsea Barracks) to look at the pictures, and he tells me it is a "set up" as that part of The Mall is nowhere near St James Palace, and the soldier is not in correct uniform.
Hmm, The Daily Mail lies again.
PS:~
Neither is it near Clarence House (where it's meant to be ) either.

Gullible.
It seems to me Waldo has about as much respect for the armed forces as the perpetrator!!!!!!!!
Does it really? Does it? Does it? Hmmm? Does it? Does it?

Your opinion appears to be about as intelligent as the Git's.
Leave him Waldo, he's not worf it!

;c)
Hence mocking.

Mind you, I must respond to this bit of feeble gibberish from theoldracist:

"Incidently a Guardsman has every right to un-slope his weapon and challenge any threat to his person or his fellow Guardsmen, even if it means breaking ranks at times. "

Threatened? Threatened..? Oh diddums... "A man is doin bad impressions of my walk... waaahhh! waaahh! I'm in mortal peril..."

How *very* threatening.

Let's hope he doesn't get anyone taking the mick out of his hat, otherwise he'd be be so terrified he'd be forced to shoot them.

Perhaps you should ask why his superiors are seeking to have words if his behaviour is as acceptable as you seem to think.

He lost his rag and behaved unprofessionally; just accept it.

Threatened my a-hole.

A few prime examples of unintelligent postings.
Oooh I'm sooooo rattled!

I do love this story though - sounds really like a couple of blokes have hired some fancy dress and taken all the tabloids (and a few on here) for a ride!
What age do I have to attain before I can start posting great swathes of Britain's worst newspaper and smashing my patellas into a bloody pulp with all the kneejerking I do?

I simply cannot wait to post intelligent things like you, oh gittish one.

Blimey! jake I know that these days it is quite easy to get your hands on a gun, but a SA-80???????

I don't think many fancy dress outlets stock these.

Even if they did get their hands on one, do you seriously think they could march down the street with one over their shoulder, without being surrounded with an Arned Police Unit?

Some real intelligent thinking must have taken place on your part before you reached your conclusions on this matter.

I think this is great. If someone had done this to a soldier in Germany, Spain America etc they would have been arrested, but we are jut ment to take it. It was very disrespectful to a bloe just trying to do hi important , dangerous and difficult job.
