It is true Hamas won't stop until they have driven the Israeli's out of Israel and yes they would prefer for them to be carried out feet first..
I will not debate this with anyone I am merely expressing my feelings to which I am entitled.
Good Luck Lonnie.

You have zero credibility when you try to promote Israeli propaganda Lonnie
the fact of the matter is that both sides in this have used indescriminate weapons - a war crime
And international legislation forbids the use of Human Shields and specifically states that the use of this technique does not absolve the other side from their responsibilities towards civilians
In the face of this it's clearly time for an international arms ban to the entire region.

There's a reason people don't bother with your links, Lonnie.
The way to counteract bias is to present a non-biased viewpoint. You try to counteract bias by knowingly presenting a viewpoint that's biased towards the other side. I doesn't do your credibility any favours - it's still bias.
What's more, you know it's biased. You seem to scour the net for a version of events that you'd like to believe, rather than the one you think is true. I'm sure there are quite reasonable commentators who broadly agree with you, but who don't have a frothing Israeli agenda. Try looking for them instead.

rightwingers, including Binyamin Netanyahu, the former Prime Minister, are commemorating the bombing of the King David Hotel in Jerusalem, the headquarters of British rule, that killed 92 people and helped to drive the British from Palestine.

The American media were strongly pro Jewish and very anti British. One Hollywood motion picture Mogul declared in the British press that he had a holiday in his heart every time a British soldier was killed in Palestine. and large sections of the American media echoed this sentiment. At one point early in 1945 Winston Churchill became so irritated with continual American shouting about Palestine that he suggested that since the Americans were so unhappy about the way Britain was handling Palestine, "the best solution would be for them to take the job over themselves, I'm not aware that Britain has to vaunt about this painful and thankless task, he said, and someone else should have their turn and the sooner the better".

lonnie, read what one of fellow countrymen has to say about the depravity of this sad state of affairs. http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context =va&aid=12008
Could someone clarify something to me...because I'm really ignorant about that region of the world.
Here goes - is it true that after WWII, the allies got together and decided that a certain part of the Middle East would suddenly become a brand new country, and that the people who were already there would have to move out?
Is that it in a nutshell?
If so, I sort of understand why there are a number of really p*ssed off people in the region.
If I'm way off, could someone please explain to me how this situation came about???

I am perplexed by Dolly's response. How does being "white, English, 75 and Christian", place you in a position to know that the holocaust happened. I see in the Telegraph today an article regarding a British bishop, 68 years of age ....... not as old as you but hopefully old enough ... who has different views re "holocaust". He could finish up losing his freedom ... in Germany. It is disgusting. After all, as far as I am aware, in this country one can deny the existence of God, Jesus, etc with no fear of incarceration.
Dolly1308 was trying to give an explanation of why Israelis and the majority of Jews feel so strongly about Israel.
Judging by some of the ignorance displayed by various posters on this, and similar topics, it is apparent that very few understand - or want to understand - what happened to the Jews during the 1930's and 1940's.
I remember years ago a relative telling me of his experiences during the second world war. As a British soldier he was one of the first into Belsen conscentration camp when the Germans left. The phrase he often repeated was 'and the lying b******s in nearby towns pretended they didn't know the place was there and what was happening'.
Talk to an old Jewish man who last saw his mother, father and younger sister when he was nine years old in 1938 in Vienna. To this day he does not know what happened to them.
For the nazis whose aim was wiping out all Jews, now substitute Hamas whose STATED INTENTION is the same. Then perhaps you may begin to realise why the Jews will not not let another bunch of hate filled scum continually threaten them.

Where to start.
Dolly, thanks very much, this is the last time for me on this subject, I side with Israel, I try to put their side on here but I just get the sort of reply your reading now, as far as these people are concerned, the Israelis are 100% to blame, and Hamas is as pure as the driven snow.
Gromit, no matter what I put up, its always one sided. isn't it?.
Cugetit, your so anti Israel, you may as well go and join Hamas, get a life.
jake-the-peg, I've noticed that everything I put up is propogander, but everything thats come out of Gaza via Hamas is the actual no holds barred truth.

The muslims in the Middle East are never going to be treated fairly by the US or Jewish controlled governments of many of the Western countries. Even in the past when the US were sending so-called peace makers to the Middle East, who did they send .... Kissinger (German Jew), William S Cohen, Defense Sec. (Russian Jew), Madelaine Albright (nee Korbelova) converted from Judaism to escape persecution. Bit like having a football match between England & France and having a French referee!!! Loonie, thanks for your offer, I would rather join Hamas than your lot, .... Ernest Saunders, Shirley Porter (ex Dame), Robert Maxwell, Bernie Madoff, ad infinitum.
Cugetit, if the chips were down and people like Hamas became a threat to you, you may feel differently. I don't often get involved in these discussions, and I do think it was morally very wrong to take the land from the Palestinians in the first instance. Additionally, in my opinion, Israel have gone way over the top in Gaza, but when you're talking about people like Hamas, you're talking about a totally different mindset - one that few westerners understand and, if they did, if they had any sense at all, would not wish to emulate. They'd kill you or me with no qualms at all. This is what we have to remember. That's my opinion, and that's all I have to say.
