We can debate the semantics of 'normal' until the cows come home.........however, you believe that a child bought up in a gay household is in some way disadvantaged.

It is pointed out that the little girl is wary of men, even to the point the social workers have noticed it. Then why give her to a gay couple. That is not in the interests of the child and at the end of the day isn't that what they are supposed to be working towards not satisfying the gay couple.

Personally I would want children to be brought up with someone who does understand what a rational decision is rather than someone who freely admits that they won't change their mind.

I don't think that anyone is saying that if a woman gives her chap oral sex, that makes him gay. I've scanned the previous few posts, but can't see that assertion.

Also, as to the question of the adoption, I suspect that the age of the grandfather would've played a significant part in the decision making - I mean, it ain't easy looking after kids, especially if you're at retirement age.

But the problem is - we don't have details of the case to hand and the local authority have rightly said it's a private matter.

We can only make guesses.
