Actually according to BBC news it is in Talbot Square which is nearer the bus station and not near the Houndeshill at all.

and it did give me a shock until I rang work and put the news on. I understand that the rest of your question was meant in a light hearted way. Blackpool store opens 11-5 on a Sunday and so I instantly thought that there was a more serious situation going on. Do you understand?

Because you used the word 'new' in your OP , and becasuse the only new shopping centre in Blackpool (It opened in August, and I helped stock our branch there the day before it opened) is the new Houndshill, I did automatically assume that you meant the houndshill, not the small arcade futher up the street near the North Pier and the Bus station, that is perfectly understandable, I don;t expect you to know anything about Blackpool and so you are forgiven for giving me a shock, I know it was not intentional. : )

Hi jayne.

Im more than familiar with blackpool and its newly revamped shopping center.It isnt however a new center its just been enclosed .
I shopped in the houndshill center in 2000 and its been there since i think 1982 , possibly even earlier.

Just incase anyone was under any illusion s.
I did go by the sky news reoprt on the radio here and they said new shopping center , but after looking on the skynews site i realised it was the one where yates is.

As i said im more than familiar with blackpool and was there in may of 2007 during the gay pride weekend , though as a spectator and not an active participant.

AND YOU COULD STILL GET A CUP OF TEA UPSTAIRS IN FUNLAND FOR 10P!!

theres a very large gay community there knobby.
theres a basement gay club next to the bus station.
btw dont use the toilets in the bus station as they are ofte to be found littered with swabs tin foil and syringes.apparntly its the local shooting gallery for junkies in blackpool.
