Seeing all those Muslims in Luton the soldiers must have thought they were still in Iraq and our government was playing a dirty trick on them.

No, I don't believe the protest should have been banned. In a democracy people should be able to protest peacefully. Our democracy is strong enough to withstand the hypocrisy of such people who despise the very notion of democracy, but are only too willing to use it when it suits their agenda. Personally, I'd rather see these people protesting, so we know who they are, rather than have them blending in quietly, yet plotting secretly.

All outsiders wishing to live in this country should be forced to serve in the British Forces for at least 3 years, whoever we're fighting against. If they refuse, they should not be allowed in this country. End of. That'd sort the loyal from the disloyal, the worthy from the unworthy.

I agree with Julnar, in a Democracy, these people have the right to peaceful protest, but, once they turn to violence, ie, stonethrowing etc, they should be arrested and charged with disturbing the peace.

Those photos were taken right outside the office where I work. That is what Luton is like. As a white male I am looked down on on a daily basis. I have a twenty minute walk to and from work and I never hear a word of English. I get pushed to the back of the queue in shops, mini-markets, etc. It is nothing new and it gets worse by the month.

According to BBC News, local opinion is running very high against the protestors, and jolly good job too. Unless there is a demonstrable and implemented shift in public opinion then this country is F----D, by Islam. Be very afraid.

While no fan of these type of Muslims, I have to say I just watched this on the news and there was only about 15 of them.

They were all encircled by the police so could not move.

There were hundreds of non-protestors, and I bet many of the non protestors did not even see the protest, and have no idea it took place.

So I think "hijacked" is too strong a word.

Mind you, after the parade went past it did get a bit nasty, with non protestors trying to get near to the Muslim protestors.

The police were then protecting the Muslim protestors from the non-protestors, and I think there would have been a few fights if the police had not been at hand.

Unfortunately, due to mass incompetence by this Labour government (and the last Tory government) many of these people were either born here, or have British passports.

So legally they are as "British" (ha ha !) as anyone else born here, or who has a British passport.

One day in the future hopefully we will sort out all this mess, if we dont the country is on one long downhill path.

Why did the army have to march through Luton playing music and waving flags? I think they did this on purpose, to incite the Asian population. The Muslims were very restrained, despite this inflammatory show of strength.

SK.news.DE - I believe our soldier's have every right to be able to march through the streets of their own country upon their return and I believe a lot of people like to turn out to cheer them and their safe return. Why shouldn't we be allowed to do this and wave our countrys flag proudly? I don't think it was done with any intention of inciting others and I think the last thing the army want to do when they come back from Iraq is to start arguments with the asian population, they're more than likely thinking about spending time with their loved ones.
