Could be a reasonable sort of day today. I hope so, Mrs.W has her final exam this morning to become a Boatmaster and be able to skipper Perseverence.
So orf we jolly well go to the canal again.

Good morning Wbm and beejay. The weather is quite foggy in the Valencian province this morning. Still, it's quite early and I haven't seen the forecast for later.

wbm - it was quite nippy here last night. I had to go back in a fetch my coat to go out.

beejay - it must have been blowing a gale here, because I left the newspaper on the table and now it's strew across the balcony.

I was going to remark on the weather down here in the shires but beejay will only take the p so I'll just say it's a bit overcast but there are signs of the sun breaking through down south.

Morning seekeerz, nice to see you. how are you? have you had that rain yet? We're talking about driving a narrowboat instead of a car. Mrs.W is a good driver in a car, but has not got the confidence on the boat, once she has her certificate I can take her out and get her some experience and build up her confidence, she will be ok.

Morning bensmum xxx Thank you for your good wishes to Mrs.W. she will be fine. She crews for me when I'm skippering and does really well. All she has to do today is man overboard procedure and mass evacuation of the boat in an emergency. If she does ok then she will be a qualified boatmaster. A bit of experience then she is ready.

Morning wendilla xxx, Thank you. There is quite a lot involved in skippering a passenger carrying boat. Once she has her certificate I can take her out and when I think she is ready I will get one of my colleagues to assess her then she will be able to skipper. 'cos she's my wife I can't assess her, it has to be a non-relative. All very complicated!
