Damaged someone's wing mirror hlep!!!
3 Answers
I damaged someone's wing mirror today but I was driving my friend's car so the insurance is registered in their name, is this illegal? I would have willingly just paid the driver for the wing mirror but unfortunately it was a rental car which I damaged so I guess their insurance company will be informed but I relly don't want my friend's insurance to be claimed and I left them with my contact details, will they contact me first? Can I just pay their insurance company without getting my friend's insurance involved? Reli worried, plz help!!!

I borrowed my friends car,she had fully comp,so did I.someone hit the car, rendering it un driveable, and P##### OFF not leaving details. I could not claim on my insurance, she could not claim on her insurance,as i was not a named driver, and she was not with me at the time. it cost me 950.00 for a new wing, light, door panel beating out. I always have had fully comp,so has she.makes me think is it worth it.we never did find the driver, but it will go on your mates insurance,as that went on mine.although they never paid out.You can contact their insurance and ask them if you can pay direct, before the hire company put the claim in.as they will do that straight away.unable to re rent until it is fixed. good luck.
