I have to confess being fooled by the new Lirpa Loof programme for wrinkles featured on Lorraine Today! It sounded convincing as Dr Hilary was talking about it. To be honest, I had forgotten it was April 1st so it hadn't occured to me it would be an April Fools joke! My hubby couldn't believe I fell for that. Then again, I did believe, a few years ago, that they had removed 'gullible' from the dictionary as it wasn't used much these days!!.........

The same trick was done last year and was slammed by people phoning in. I think it was Good Morning which claimed they had a cream to make you lose weight.
I've seen several hoaxes throughout the years using the name Lirpa Loof, to the extent that I always check the text of newspapers throughly on Apr 1.

Fancy Lorraine and Hillary telling a porky pie lol!
Esther Rantzen did the Lirpa Loof years ago on Thats Life. It was supposed to be a rare animal at a zoo.
Didnt think folk were still that gullible ?
M e neither leg, The Lirpa Loof's been done so many times In suprised anyone took notice.
The best one I saw was on Richard and Judy a few years ago. It was a language translation gadget that you spoke into, and it spoke back in your own voice in the foreign language.
I was ready to buy it.

It sounds like I'm a bit behind considering this Lirpa Loof has been going around for years! This was the first time I had come across it! I think why I didn't doubt it was because Dr Hilary gave his spiel about it and sounded so convincing!! Plus I had forgotten it was April's Fool Day! I'll know for next year! It did give hubby a laugh at my expense!
