So at last he has apologised.

Mr Brown said: 'I take full responsibility for what happened. That's why the person who was responsible went immediately'.

But hold your horses, if Brown says he has now taken full responsibility, will he now reinstate Damian McBride?

Or perhaps Brown should now lose his job? If not surely McBride has took full responsibility by losing his job

I don't think so! This subject has been dominating the news media for a whole week and like him would hope it should put a closure on a boring episode in politics. Politicians love gazing at their own navels and many prefer to discuss their own situations rather than what is happening in the outside world. This could all have been settled in private but they tend to bore the rest of us with their self indulgence. Maybe it was all a divergent way of not talking about their expenses. Even Jackie Smith has cheered up knowing the heat has come off.
Yes, he will lose his job.

But not until the day following the next General Election.
Oooooooh, yes please - get rid of the log! It'll be like emptying bowels - relief!
........and filling up your bowels again with Cameron and his court of jesters
He will hang on until the very last possible day.

By then, 13 years of this lot will have been quite enough thanks!

Then it will be "Thanks Gordon, and goodbye."
No, he won't lose his job, he thinks he's being a big man by apologising, and as for the next election, its now almost impossible for this goverment to be voted out.

Wait and see.
He'll keep his job but I think this whole incident has put the final nail in the coffin of Noo Labour. They'll be out for 20 years! Hoo bl00dy ray!

It just goes to show that the Tories are bunch of amatuers when it comes to sleaze and dirty tricks, behold Noo Labour the masters.
Oldgit, I thought it was a very strange thing to say as well for the same reasons.

'I take full responsibility which is why I've sacked someone else' - weird.
Doesn't matter, Labour lost the last election in England and Wales, they only got back in because of the Scottish votes, and the same will happen again.

Got nothing really to do with the Scots, but we have a Scottish Goverment, and they'll vote them in again.

We are heading full tilt for a one party state, and I think there is now only one solution.

We are heading full tilt for a one party state, and I think there is now only one solution.

Please tell us Lonnie, how can we escape from this situation?
Revolt,
calm down, Lonnie! The Tories are going to win the next elections. They will have sleazy spinners too (in fact they started it, with Bernard Ingham, who worked for Thatcher). So things won't actually change, but the faces will.

But the answer is yes, Brown will lose his job, but no, not now.
