Civil Servants bonuses for coming to work in the snow
Is it just me, or does anyone alse think it is appalling that the civil services is paying out bonuses to people who made it into work in the bad snow in London?
At my work if you don't make it in to work because of the weather you have to take it out of your holidays or take it as unpaid!

I didn't go to work, stayed in and worked at home, entirely as productive as trekking 4 miles through deep snow. I therefore didn't benefit from an extra day's leave. C'est la vie. I am just thankful that when the need arises I can log in and work from home. No heroism, just pragmatism, and the job got done as ever.
