Provocative to whom?

I don't see how celebrating our national saints day can be provocative.

Am I missing something?
doc i was going to say that you got there before me
Why should celebrating England's national day be provocative?

(even though he was actually French, St.Georgie)
I thought he was Greek... ah well, learn something new everyday.

Don't see what's provocative about it so if you want to then do it.
Question Author

20,000 protest in West Bromwich over killjoy council's attempts to scupper St George's Day march
Todays Daily Mirror
Apparenly a buisnessman has given 10,000 to fund a march to celebrate, which was my point, is it so provocative to this council?
Its the English flag to be flown in England on anyday, let alone this day we dare not mention. I dont care who flies what flag, but this flag should be flown with pride. If you have lived here all your life, or if its given you shelter or you have chosen to live here NO-ONE should think its provocative. Its everyones flag within this country and should be flown in all its glory. Every other country does. Fly it on St Georges day and every day that follows.
