Did they think they would not be caught or where they saying that they don't mind going to jail for a very long time in order to murder someone who really hadn't done them any harm at all. I just don't get it.
It doesn't really say in the article but as the attackers all pleaded not guilty I think they thought they wouldn't get caught as if they were happy to spend a time in prison wouldn't they have just pleaded guilty?
It worries me that there are young people in our society who can be so callous. The behaviour of the people concerned is almost psychopathic, with no feeling or regard for their victim whatsoever. What is our country coming to?
There are many "black yoofs" who are law-abiding and do not want to be caught up in this violence. To suggest that it is ok for them "to keep it in-house" is puerile.
The tragedy is that the lad who was paralysed has that to cope with for the rest of his life while his attacker will be footloose and fancy free again by the time he's 20.
Mmmmmhhhhhh..There's something highly ironic about that?
I really don't understand why the law does not allow the guilty to be named just because they are under age. They are old enough to commit this horrendous act but not old enough to be named.
