Google Street View

Can anyone explain to me how to work the Google street view, i go into Google Maps (Satalite View) drag the liitle man to where i want to view but nothing happens. What am i doing wrong.

Not all streets are mapped. You have to drag him to the highlighted blue areas.

If the little man doesnt stay where you put him,i think it means the town you are trying to view is'nt ready.I had the same problem it seems like the cities and large towns are ready ,but not the smaller towns and villages.

Have a look at New York, then try the street view.

If the little man is coloured yellow, you can use him to get Street View on at least some of the satellite photo. If he is coloured grey, then you can't get Street View on any part of the satellite photo. Drag the (yellow) man to where you want to look at streets: as you drag him, the streets that have been photographed will show blue edges. If you put him on a blue-edged street, you can see the buildings close up, but if you put the yellow man on a street that hasn't got blue edges, you won't get the close-up view. You're not doing anything wrong; you just need a bit of practice. Best of luck.
