anyone stayed there and if so what is you opinion overall.
hoping to hire a scooter to travel about

Menton is a wonderful (if expensive) place,as is the surrounding area/countryside.
However,they are mad drivers in this area(so are your fellow scooterists!) so do be aware of this.
Also do check any holiday insurance that you have,as it may not have cover for a scooter on holiday (or may require extra hefty cover).
Have a great time anyway.

Not far from Nice? Monnaco?
Travelled by rail in 80's solo and stayed in Youth Hostal in latter. (Plus B&B in Nice - not too bad and very 'Nice' town - just remembering I even got offered a job in a bread shop!).
Anywhere you hire a vehicle - just make sure you have good insurance.
Have a fab trip!

my maid, soulmate and companion came back from her family home in Menton this afternoon, the chardonnay was chilled, the fish was fresh and delightful and soon we will retire to a warm and comfortouble bed, goodnight and love to all, Prudentia
