Has anyone else decided not

to vote today.?
Have been disgusted at the recent scandals in our political system , that for the only time in my life I have opted out.
This decision does not sit easily with me, when I think how hard a struggle it was to get the vote for women, and part of me feels ashamed for not going.
However on balance I cannot, nor do I want to , on this occasion, support any candidate on the list.
Feel I have to make a protest in the only way I know.
Anyone else out , who isn't going?

The big question is: Having failed to register your disgust by the hugely symbolic gesture of not voting (which will surely upset your entire neighbourhood), what would you put in the place of British Democracy. It's so easy to carp and criticise, so difficult to construct.
So, apart from sitting on your bum in outraged disgust, what are YOU going to do about it.
Personally, I voted BNP and put loads of kisses in all the other boxes.

I thought about not voting, but given that it was Local as well as Euro, I made sure I did, and then I voted local residents association rather than for a party.
I voted BNP for the Euro, largely as a protest against the nain parties and as a protest at being in the EU - more trouble than it's worth!!

The BNP box was on the form - which suggests it is a legal party to vote for?
You may disagree with them, and that gives you every right to disagree with me, even be mildly abusive to me. I often wonder however, amidst the spluttering outrage of the anti-BNP'ers on here, how many of those spluttering outraged people would resort to violence to suppress them?
I am an adult, and my definition and exercise of responsibility is entirely as valid as yours, however much it may annoy you. Indeed, the more the better.
