Weather in South America
4 Answers
My daughter and I are travelling to Chile, Argentina and Brazil, mid August to mid September. I have looked on internet regarding temperatures at that time of year. Most sites say that Chile will be chilly but Aregentina and Brazil should be mild to warm. However I was speaking to someone who has been there and they say that Argentina, Buenos Aries which will be our first stop in Argentina will be freezing. Do we pack totally for winter or will we get warm weather. Seems to be conflicting info. Anyone have any experience of these countries at that time of year.

You have to realize that these countries are in the Southern Hemisphere which means that it is winter there while we are having summer. So It will be the beginning of their spring as it is the beginning of our Autumn. I would pack so that you can layer your clothes and put on and take off as necessary.
