This is the party that for years have been prepared to pay out huge amounts of various benefits, to vast amounts of bogus civilian claimants, and yet will snoop on genuine injured soldiers, soldiers who are most likely injured because the Government won't spend the cash making sure they have the correct protection.

Yes!.............this is the level this deplorable Government has sank to. Labour has never had time for the military in the past and it shows only too well now. The 'snoopers', with their cameras, should be out there catching all the many cheats of the benefits system, instead of hounding these poor men and boys. I say bring back Conscription and put all those MP's children over 17 years of age in the likes of Afghanistan and Iraq.............bet that would make them see things differently!!

Governments of all hues have refused to pay out to victims of the atomic bomb tests, and what is the view of Gulf War Syndrome at the moment?
If people are cheating the system then they are a disgrace to their regiment because if they are not sick then perhaps they should be back in service covering their mates backs.

Geez - you guys sure are suckers for believing what you read in the press.
This has nothing to do with our brave boys/girls in Afghanistan or any other operational assignment.
You just wouldn't believe the number of shirkers in the Forces who do there utmost to keep themselves downgraded, and hence are unable to go on operational duties. It is a staggering high proportion considering these are supposed to be fit people.
THAT is what we are talking about here. They seek to get discharged and blame the MOD for their injuries. There's a heck of a lot of alleged injuries that occur in training, you know.

Soldiers are not all perfect and as the above shows, some of them are defrauding us.

I'm totally for the government to hound former soldiers as much as possible. In my experience i've known them to feign illness and milk it to the limit so they can get their pension now/other benefits. Unfortunately it makes it more difficult for the genuine ones,

But then it's the same with rape, 'victims' are given a hard time because of the number of women that lie.

Ultimately the few lyers and cheaters ruining it for the good people.

the military are civil servants ,

no reason to think they would not swing the lead any less than other civil servants who are well praticed in that art,

my partner works for a government agency and it is laughable how little productive work is done or expected,

dear bloggs....if not on sick leave you are invited to a meeting to discuss fixing the date for a meeting to discuss whether it is fair and diverse to hold a meeting exceeding 3 hours, this being in excess of normal working hours?

Sorry to disappoint you kinell but HMF are not part of the Civil Service. As for criticizing the Civil Service as a whole, is yir partner a civil servant?
