In remembrance of Harry Patch..

I just want to send this video to you all,in remembrance of the great Harry Patch who died at the age of 109. The last known surviving British soldier to have fought in the World War I trenches, Harry Patch, has returned to the site of the Battle of Passchendaele. "War is a calculated and condoned slaughter of human beings"

Good on ye imhotep :-)..was watching the The Last Tommy today,the horrors of what he and his comrades endured,are just not concievable to us nowadays. A fine old veteran like Henry Allingham who died a week ago.

All that death and suffering, and what have we learnt? Ironic that inthe same news bulletin announcing his death there was another young soldier killed in Afghanistan.
